Mentors Matter Founder and Director Laura Wilson graduated from Lincoln University with a BA in English and a minor in Human Services.  Attending a Historically Black college helped Laura to additionally study various cultures and ethnic groups, as well as taking classes in racial diversity, which is an asset to her position as Director in working with diverse populations. Laura has continued with Graduate work in the education field.

 

Prior experience consists of working for the Octorara Across Ages mentoring program from December 2002 until May 2005 as the Program Coordinator.  Previous to the position of Program Coordinator for Across Ages, Laura was employed by the Octorara School District being responsible for up to 100 students as a Study Hall and Disciplinary Monitor.

 

Laura resides in Nottingham, PA and has four sons.
