Fund Raiser for Mentors Matter at Riders has a great turnout of support
Mentors Matter held a Fund Raiser at Riders on Friday, March 17th in Downingtown, PA and had one of the largest shows of support ever to attend this specific type of Fund Raiser. Eighty (80) guests came for the Mentors Matter evening and the program was able to raise over $1000.00 with more donations still coming in after the event.
The Rider family hosts, in their home a dinner each month where area faith based non profit programs can invite supporters to enjoy a delicious dinner and then make a donation. Food costs are subtracted and the proceeds are then donated to the non-profit program. The Rider Family has graciously given this service as a gift to faith based programs for years and their blessing and outreach are greatly appreciated.
Attending the events were Rider regulars, along with mentors, and program supporters such as State Representative Art Hershey and County Commissioner Andrew Dinniman.
Mentors Matter will continue their fund raising efforts and welcome area businesses and individual donations to help support reaching kids through mentoring.
